Disclaimer
We try to describe our services as precisely as we can. This page explains how the information on the website should be understood, and what limits apply to our liability. It does not replace the terms of use, but supplements them.

1. The information on the website
The content of inthedarkroom.org is general information about the studio and our services. It does not constitute a binding offer. The scope, timing, place and delivery for an assignment are always set out in the written agreement concluded by email.
We update the pages regularly, but cannot guarantee that all information is complete or free of errors at all times. If you spot something that is wrong, we would appreciate an email to [email protected].
2. Portfolio and examples
The pictures in the portfolio show the kind of look we work towards, and are no guarantee of a particular result. Every session is shaped by the light, the place, the weather, the time available and the people in front of the camera. The number of pictures, the format and the delivery deadline for your assignment are what your agreement says — not what is shown here.
The testimonials on the front page are reproduced with the clients' consent and have been edited for length only. Client names such as SpinBoss, Kazeeno, SpinWinera, Grizzlys and Slotrave are used with permission and say nothing about what any future assignment will cost or contain.
3. Operation and availability
The website is provided “as is” and “as available”. We cannot guarantee that the pages are always available, uninterrupted or free of technical faults. Maintenance, faults at our provider or circumstances beyond our control may make the site unavailable for periods of time.
The forms on the site use JavaScript to give feedback about errors. If you cannot submit a form, send us an email directly instead — it reaches us just as well.
4. Links to other websites
The site may contain references to external sources, for example the public authorities mentioned on the legal pages. We have no control over the content of such websites, and are not responsible for the information, privacy practices or services you find there. A reference implies no recommendation beyond what follows from the context.
5. Professional advice and guidance
Tips about clothing, light, preparation and analogue developing that we share on the website or on courses are general advice based on experience. They are not tailored to your specific situation, and we take no responsibility for the outcome if you follow them on your own — for example when working with chemicals in your own darkroom. Always follow the manufacturer's safety instructions.
6. Limitation of liability
We work with two camera bodies and redundant storage on every assignment. Should material nevertheless be lost as a result of a technical failure, our liability is limited to carrying out the session again as soon as it can practically be arranged.
We are not liable for indirect loss — damage to reputation, lost opportunities, delays at a third party or consequential loss — that may arise in connection with an assignment or the use of the website. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be disclaimed under mandatory Norwegian law, including liability for intent and gross negligence, or consumers' rights under consumer legislation.
7. Circumstances beyond our control
Illness, accidents, extreme weather, power cuts, closed venues, public orders and similar events beyond the parties' control give no basis for compensation. In such cases we move the session to the nearest time that suits both parties.
